Use Inter Wiki linking to link to other wikis or internet search pages:

• Link to pages on the Burley Green site: [ BurleyGreen:EventsCalendar ]
• Link to Bible passages: [ Bible:John5:1-6 ]
• Or search on Google: [ Google:green eggs and ham ]

Use two left square brackets to stop wiki using it to start a link.

Use an exclamation mark before a wiki word to stop it being a link: HelpPages BUT be careful with wiki-names in headings (since they also use exclamation marks)
