Keith Trout
Hi. I am married to Sue, and have two children - Matthew and Sarah. (They are both in their twenties and resist the term 'children', but hey, we'll always be their parents!!). I was born in Bradford, and so have moved all of ten miles to be the Vicar of St. Matthias. I know a little bit about life before and after becoming a Christian. Before being a Christian, I bombed out academically, tried shop work, and sheet metal work, became a 'hippy', was promiscuous, and spent three and a half years using drugs, before being arrested and fined. I realised my life was in a mess, which made me think seriously about changing, but how? Someone told me about Jesus - dying on the cross for me, and God's unconditional love. I became a Christian in 1973 (best decision I ever made), and have had my life completely turned around by Jesus. I almost work for a living now (you know the story - vicars only work one day a week...). I'm privileged to have a family who love me, and whom I love to bits. I'm vicar of a great church (by that I mean the people who worship at St.Matthias Church, not the building!!) who are a brilliant bunch of people to be with. I have the best, biggest, most loving God as my Father, and though life has it's 'moments', knowing God makes life LIFE! You will be welcomed warmly if you want to come and check us out. For service times go to Church Services. Hope to meet you soon.
