House GroupsHouse Groups are at the very heart of the Church. They help members of the Church family to learn from the Bible together, grow in prayer and worship and care for each other. House groups (sometimes known as small groups, area groups or cell groups) are an excellent way to make friends and settle into the Church. Currently there are five groups, each with about ten members, meeting on a Tuesday or Wednesday evening in peoples homes. Each has appointed leaders but the emphasis is on each member sharing in group life. New members are always welcome. We believe that meeting in homes and sharing our lives together in the house groups is not only a very effective way to get to know each other, but to practically care for each other as well. Pastoral Care - watching out for each other, showing love, concern, and helping each other in whatever way we can - is meant to form an essential part of group life. We could define it as God's love in action amongst His people. To co-ordinate and oversee the groups we have Kay Brooks and Gerry Denson (tel 2787360). These are the people to contact if you wish to join a group. Kay and Gerry also co-ordinate pastoral care for those not in Groups. Our aim is to care for all God's people.
