Christians Against Poverty

Christians Against Poverty is a national charity releasing people from debt and poverty through debt counselling, practical services and financial education.

"Speak up for all those who cannot speak for themselves, for the rights of all who are destitute. Speak up and judge fairly; defend the rights of the poor and needy" Proverbs 31 v 8-9

The West Leeds Centre was set up in conjunction with St Matthias, Burley in May 2003 and is based at St Matthias Church Centre, St Matthias St Burley.The Centre manager Christine Taylor heads up the Centre with a small team of volunteers who work alongside her.
